About CollabScout

What it does

It finds creators the way you would by hand, starting from accounts you already like and following Instagram's own suggestions, and checks each profile against a category you can read and edit. Then it helps you message the ones you pick, from your own account, and shows you every message before it goes out.

It runs entirely in your browser. There's no CollabScout server and no account with us, so your lists, your messages and the people you contact stay on your computer.

Why it's free

It costs almost nothing to run. With no servers there's no monthly bill to pass on to you, and with no data coming in there's nothing to sell.

How I check facts

These rules apply to every guide and comparison on this site:

• Other tools are described from their own public pages: pricing, features and help articles. Each page links them under Sources, with the date I read them.
• Their numbers are their claims. When a tool says it has 380M+ creators, the page says that the tool says so. I haven't audited anyone's database.
• Where another tool is better, the page says so, and says for whom.
• CollabScout's own timings are typical figures, based on how it paces itself, not lab benchmarks. How fast you find people depends on your examples and on Instagram.
• I make CollabScout, and every comparison says so at the top.
• Prices are re-checked every few months, and the page's date changes when they are.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong or out of date, write to [email protected]. It gets fixed, and the page's "Updated" date changes. That includes the companies compared here: if a price or a feature has changed, tell me and I'll correct it.
